Homemade Milk Bath Recipe

Shannon submitted this great bath recipe. It's an essential one to have for gifts or to sell at craft shows. Plus, it's fun to make!

Milk Bath Powder Recipe

Equal parts of:
Salt
Baking Soda
Powdered Milk

You can just mix all three and pour in your bath. Usually 1 cup of the combined ingredients is good for one bath.

To make it a little fancier, I pop all three in a blender and blend it on the highest setting til it's all powder, then I'll drop in some of my favorite essential oil. When it's done, pour into the bottles that have the cork lids. Depending on the size, you can get them for about a dollar a piece. Then melt a crayon of your favorite color, make sure the lid is on the bottle tight, then dip the lid into the hot wax and let cool, then redip a couple more times, letting it cool between each dip. This makes a really pretty wax seal, and looks very fancy.

If you have some tiny, dried flowers or herbs, you can stick them in the hot wax after the last dip. They don't have to be placed in a neat fashion. Just stick them in there and it turns out really nice. They'll dry in there and it looks like you've paid lots of money for it. These make great gifts!

I made them for about a year, and did it this way, and I made some good side money.
