A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**~~**
Hi everyone,
How is your Thursday treating you? :) Hopefully very well!
I want to ask a favor of you regular KCnM readers - I need about 5-10 people to become recipe researchers for the KCnM newsletter. Meaning, that I need people to help find new recipes (requested recipes & others) for the newsletters and websites. I find it hard to handle this task on my own, and so I'm asking for your help.
If YOU love recipes, please e-mail me at christina@happyslob.com and I'll tell you the details. :) Now, enjoy today's issue!
Thanks!
Christina

BARE ESSENTIALS MAKE UP
Tina writes:
"I wanted to respond to Arlene's Question about Bare Essentials Makeup .....
I have the makeup and I just love it you do not feel like your face is all caked up with liquid makeup etc.... it is light as a feather when you have it on and it stays on very well even if you happen to rub you face for some reason the make up stays there ... I found that I did not sweat as bad with it on and was alot cooler also ....
I now have my daughter wearing it and she really loves it ,and has the same things to say about it as I do ....
It is a little pricey but it last for a very long time even using it everyday because you actually only use such a small amount of it at a time ....
I hope that I have answered your questions about it and could help you to make the decision that you are after ...... "
Marilyn says:
"In the response to the question about Bare Essentials Makeup . I use it and I could not, nor would not go back to using anything else. It appears to be pricey, but really it last for a long time. I started using it over a year ago and am now just starting to get low on one item. It looks so natural and feels so clean. My complextion has never been better, I highly reccommend it."
HUMMINGBIRDS
Elaine writes:
"While I've not spotted any hummingbirds here in the Colorado Rockies
just yet, I was stunned to see swarms of mosquitoes while out walking my
dog during a snow storm two weeks ago. Fortunately, my veternarian had
seen the same thing, so it confirmed the fact that I was not
hallucinating! All dog owners who use heartworm meds should see about
getting their dogs put back on them (unless you use them year 'round).
That being said, it's probably not too early to put out the hummingbird feeder

~~~RECIPE REQUESTS: ~~~
Please help these readers find these recipes! :) Thanks for your help everyone...
OLD COUNTRY BUFFET'S BBQ CHICKEN
Vicki asks:
"I'm looking for a recipe for Old Country Buffet's BBQ chicken. It doesn't have BBQ sauce on it. They told me they use a "rub" on the chicken. It's more like a glaze on the chicken that is a little sweet and spicy. I'm guessing it's a dry rub put on the chicken before baking. "
STAINED GLASS FUDGE
Paula from New York asks:
"Hi ...I am looking for a recipe I remember from childhood bakesales in Northern Maine.
It was called something like "Stained Glass Fudge". It had colored mini marshmallows,and was in a peanut butter type fudge base, rolled into a log and sliced into circles. I remember that sometimes it was rolled in coconut. Any help anyone could give me with this would be wonderful!!"
PRETZEL TURTLE CANDIES
Maureen asks:
"Hi Christina, I enjoy your newsletter and was wondering if your readers could help me find a recipe for a great little "pretzel turtle" confection. It used round, small pretzels with caramel, chocolate and a pecan on top. It was delicious but I am not sure how make them. Any help would be appreciated! "
