Apple Muffins In a Jar Mix

2 c Self rising flour (recipe for this further down on this page)
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 c Brown sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1 c Chopped dried apple

Mix: Combine and store in an airtight container.

Attach this to the Jar:

Apple Muffins
1 pk Mix
1 Egg
3/4 c Milk
1/4 c Vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 400. Mix all ingredients just until moistened. Fill greased muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.


Basic Muffin Mix

Submitted by Kim, who adds that you can add any extras you want to this recipe! (Such as chocolate chips, fruit, nuts, etc.)

8 cups all purpose flour
3 cups sugar
3 tbs baking powder
2 tsp salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground nutmeg

In a large bowl, combine, flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. Put in alrge airtight container. Label with date and contents. Store in a cool, dry place. Use within 9-8 months. Makes about 11 cups of muffin mix.

2 3/4 cups muffin mix
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, margarine or oil

Preheat oven to 400ºF (205ºC) Spray muffin pans with vegetable cooking spray. Put muffin mix in a medium bowl. Combine egg, milk and butter (marg or oil) in a small bowl. Add all at once to muffin mix. Stir until mix is just moistened; batter should be lumpy. fill prepared pans 3/4 full. bake 18-20 mins, until golden brown. makes 10 large muffins.


Spice Muffin Mix

1 3/4 cups flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl. Store the mixture in an airtight container.

Attach this to the Jar

Spice Muffins
Makes 1 dozen

1 pkg. Ginger Spice Muffin Mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup milk

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F, and grease 12 muffin tins. In a large bowl, combine the muffin mix with the butter,egg, vanilla and milk Stir the mixture until the ingredients are blended. Do not overmix. The batter will be lumpy. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full, and bake for 15 minutes.
