Spaghetti with Spicy Rice Balls

2 cups cooked white rice
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 beaten egg
Coating:
1/2 c wheat germ or cornmeal
Mix rice, oats, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, basil, oregano, cayenne and
egg together until blended. Shape into 10 balls. (I usually wet my hands
to do this.) Roll in wheat germ or cornmeal. Heat a little oil in a
large skillet; cook balls about 10 minutes until lightly browned.
Meanwhile cook a 16 oz pkg of spaghetti as package directs; drain. Heat
spaghetti sauce; serve sauce and rice balls over spaghetti. Sprinkle
with Parmesan. Serves 6.
