Yogurt Pie Crust Recipe

These two pie crust recipes that out a lot of the fat and create a lower fat pastry, because they rely on plain yogurt instead of lard, butter or shortening. If you're trying to cut back on fat, try one of these low fat pie crust recipes!

YOGURT PIE CRUST

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. plain yogurt
3 to 4 tbsp. cold water

Sift flour, add salt. Cut yogurt into flour . Add cold water until flour is moistened. Makes 2 (8 or 9 inch) crusts.

PIE CRUST MADE WITH YOGURT

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups flour
1 Tsp. salt
2/3 Cup plain yogurt
3 to 4 Tbsp. cold water

DIRECTIONS: Sift flour and add salt. Cut yogurt into flour using a pastry blender. Add cold water until flour is moistened. Roll out on floured board. MAKES: 2 ( 8 or 9-inch crusts).
